Representative Dave Severin from Marion stopped to talk with Nance Budde on Wednesday, May 15th at the Stop the Bleed Advocacy Day in Springfield at the Capital Building. Stop the Bleed is a National Campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to build a national resilience by better preparing the public to save lives by raising awareness of basic actions to "stop life-threatening bleeding".
Nance discussed her strong belief that all Illinois schools (educators, administration & staff) should have the basic Stop the Bleed training. She asked Representative Severin to support Legislative House Bill 3432 that would require all Illinois schools to have "bleeding stations" that include tourniquets, hemostatic gauze and basic dressings.
Please contact your legislator and ask for their support of this important bill. The only thing more tragic that a death from bleeding.....IS A DEATH THAT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED!
