The research from the Kaiser Permanente study on ACEs is clear and compelling. ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) have far reaching impact within our communities and our schools and is noted to be a public health crisis.  Attend this session to review the brain science behind ACEs and explore concepts and frameworks to apply universally that will assist in building more resilient students. At the conclusion of this session, participants will have a strengthened understanding of the ACEs research in order to positively impact student academic and social outcomes. Also, participants will learn strategies for practicing self-care to manage their compassion fatigue as a result of caring for others. Finally, participants will learn strategies that will assist them in building the positive relationships necessary to help students succeed to the best of their abilities.
